Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars Get Underway

Aviation safety experts facilitate discussions on ways to enhance flight safety worldwide

The Singapore Aviation Safety Seminars (SASS), organised by the Flight Safety Foundation and the Singapore Aviation Academy (SAA), will get underway Monday morning with a keynote address by renowned U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) human factors expert, Bill Johnson, Ph.D., and will continue throughout the week with presentations and discussions on a wide range of critical aviation safety topics. Johnson is Chief Scientific and Technical Advisor for Human Factors in Aircraft Maintenance Systems at FAA, and his keynote address is titled “The Endless and Necessary Attention to Human Performance in Engineering Safety.”

Jon Beatty, President and CEO of the Foundation, said on the eve of SASS that “Our SASS partnership with the Singapore Aviation Academy is one we value very highly. This event has gotten better each year and I am confident that 2016’s will be the best yet. I’d like to thank everyone at SAA and the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore who helped put this outstanding program together.”
