The Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) will establish a temporary Restricted Area under the Air Navigation Order (ANO) as shown in the map at Annex A from ground level to 2,000 feet above mean sea level on 29 March 2015 (Sunday), from 11am to 6 pm for the State Funeral Procession and State Funeral Service of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew.
The flying of unmanned aircraft 1 is prohibited within and into the temporary Restricted Area during the stated date and timing.
In addition, members of the public are reminded that under the ANO, the flying of unmanned aircraft at any altitude within 5km of an aerodrome is not allowed unless permission from CAAS is obtained. The Mandai Crematorium and Columbarium is within 5km of the Sembawang Airbase.
The flying of unmanned aircraft within and into a Restricted Area or at any altitude within 5km of an aerodrome is an offence. If convicted, a person in the first instance can be fined up to S$20,000 and in subsequent instances up to S$40,000 and/or imprisoned for up to 15 months.
